Every Great Community Starts with an Open Door

Beginning at the end of July 2026, our leadership team will be out meeting with our neighbours in Amherstburg. We can't wait to open the door to new conversations, hear your ideas, and connect with the communities we proudly serve!

If we knock on your door, we'd love to say hello, answer your questions, and share how, together, we're making homes possible and opening doors to affordable homeownership.

If we miss you, visit us at our upcoming events!

THIS IS GROUNDBREAKING:
Making Homes Possible in Amherstburg

A made-in-Windsor-Essex partnership is opening the door to affordable homeownership for local families while creating a model that communities across Canada can use.

People need the benefits of a home now. Communities are stronger, more equitable and more diverse when everyone can afford a home of their own. We know that creating a brighter future for the children of today and future generations depends on acting now. We have an opportunity to work together and have a solution that will Make Homes Possible for local families.

What this project delivers

18 new homes as part of a 50 home community in Amherstburg, produced in a local factory, then transported to site once foundations are ready.

Faster, more predictable build timelines through controlled indoor production that limits weather delays.

A replicable approach that pairs advanced modular construction with community partners to accelerate attainable housing.

A solution centred on Amherstburg families

Affordable, geared-to-income mortgages so families never pay more than 30 percent of household income on housing. No down payment. Stability that lasts.

A community fit for families to plant roots, supported by Amherstburg’s heritage and momentum.

Real outcomes that Habitat homeowners report across Canada, including improved health, financial empowerment, stability, and better educational results for children.

We acknowledge that we are on land and surrounded by water, originally inhabited by Indigenous Peoples who have travelled this area since time immemorial. This territory is within the lands honoured by the Wampum Treaties; agreements between the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, Lenni Lenape and allied Nations to peacefully share and care for the resources around the Great Lakes.

Specifically, we would like to acknowledge the presence of the Three Fires Confederacy (Ojibwe, Odawa, Potawatomi) and Huron/Wendat Peoples. We are dedicated to honouring Indigenous history and culture while remaining committed to moving forward respectfully with all First Nations, Inuit and Métis.
