Position:                                              Customer Service Representative

Scope of Work:

Customer Service Rep is responsible for providing exceptional customer service as shoppers purchase goods, pick-up purchases, and the effective and efficient accepting of donated goods at the ReStore. The Restore raises funds for Habitat for Humanity Windsor-Essex (HFHWE), in support of its mission to build decent, affordable housing for those in need in this community.

 

Reports To: ReStore Manager​

 

Education & Experience:

The position requires exceptional people skills, superior organizational abilities, and demonstrated experience as a team player

 

Required:

• Ability to perform heavy lifting on a regular basis; able to easily lift 40 lbs. and to safely handle donated products such as cabinetry, plumbing fixtures, appliances, construction materials

• Superior organizational abilities

   

     Assets (though not required):​

• Understanding of volunteer engagement or experience working in non-profit sector

• Knowledge of renovation and building materials

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with finding solutions to their product needs

• Operate cash and provide exceptional customer service doing the same

• Receiving, sorting and pricing product donations

• Loading and unloading products, including furniture, appliances, cabinets etc.

• Evaluating the suitability of donations in accordance with current established criteria.

• Ensuring aisles, cash office, loading dock, bins, receiving area, worksites and surrounding areas are left clean, safe, and undamaged. Alerting the Manager to any safety hazards and challenges.

• Contribute to the overall success of the ReStore and Habitat team

 

Compensation 

The starting wage for this position is $21.50/hr.  The schedule may vary and requires flexible availability Monday – Sunday 9am  - 8pm.
