Their mission is to mobilize volunteers and community partners in building affordable housing and promoting homeownership as a means to breaking the cycle of poverty. With the help of over 50,000 volunteers every year, HFHC's 72 affiliates nationwide have provided over 2,000 Canadian families with safe, decent and affordable housing. HFHC is a member of Habitat for Humanity International, which has built, rehabilitated, repaired or improved more than 500,000 houses worldwide.
