                ReStore Manager


                Habitat for Humanity Windsor-Essex is a non-profit organization working for a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live, through a “hand-up” approach to build housing in partnership with families in need.

                The ReStore Manager is responsible for all facets of the effective and efficient day-to-day management of the affiliate’s ReStore retail operation, the goal of which is to maximize sales such that profits can be diverted to the Habitat for Humanity Windsor-Essex affiliate in support of its mission to build decent, affordable housing for those in need in this community. 
                This position is responsible for the supervision of a small staff complement and volunteers.  This position reports to the Executive Director and is a permanent full-time position with employee benefits.

                Responsibilities:

                §  Manages the day-to-day operations of the affiliate’s ReStore retail operation.

                §  Provides direction and support to all full and part-time ReStore staff as well as the volunteers working in the ReStore operation.

                §  Prepares an annual strategic marketing plan and budget.

                §  Ensures the ReStore is in compliance with all municipal, provincial and federal safety standards and guidelines.

                Qualifications:

                A minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a manager in a retail setting with progressive leadership/supervisory responsibilities for a minimum of five (5) staff.  Ideally the candidate will hold a diploma or an Associate degree in business management, marketing, construction, or the equivalent.  An understanding of residential construction, building supplies, and retail operations is required. 

                The position requires exceptional people skills, superior organizational abilities, written and oral communication skills, computer skills, and demonstrated experience as both a team leader and a team builder.  The successful candidate must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driver abstract.

                Office Manager

                 Habitat for Humanity Windsor-Essex is a non-profit organization working for a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live, through a “hand-up” approach to build housing in partnership with families in need.

                The Office Manager is responsible for the overseeing of the general office administration of the HFHWE affiliate and ReStore, as well as fundraising and marketing initiatives.
                This position reports to the Executive Director and is a permanent full-time with employee benefits.

                Responsibilities:

                §  Develop an annual fundraising plan and budget.

                §  Develop and execute a fundraising strategy including planning of events, partnering with donors and suppliers, and working with the media.

                §  Build and maintain profitable, long-term fundraising relationships with current donors and potential donors.

                §  Develop an annual marketing plan and budget.

                §  Develop and execute a marketing/advertising strategy including newsletters, website, and social media.

                §  Research available grants, prepare and submit grant/project proposals.

                Qualifications:

                A minimum of three (3) years’ direct experience working in a similar position in a not-for-profit setting or in a similar, relevant role in a business setting.  Ideally the candidate will hold a diploma or an Associate degree in fundraising/community development, business, marketing, or the equivalent.

                The position requires superior organizational and planning skills, exceptional people skills and written/oral communication skills, and demonstrated experience as both a team leader and a team builder.  Candidate must have strong computer skills and thoroughly conversant in the use of all aspects of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), web page maintenance, and social networking.
